Experimental Farm and Carlington Woods

decompress after work and enjoy the sunset

This route starts by the canal, skips the touristic area of Dow's Lake and instead cuts straight to the Central Experimental Farm.

This hidden gem is a real treat for cycling enthusiasts looking to decompress after a long day. Keep pedalling past the Experimental Farm, after the climb you'll find yourself cruising through Carlington Woods. If you're feeling rowdy, there's a Bike Pump Track 🚵.

Although similar in length to the big loop around Ottawa, this route offers a more demanding workout with challenging climbs on the return. Plus, the path is less frequented, allowing you to ride at your own pace without interrupting others.

Ideal for a sunset ride after work, this route is the perfect way to unwind and recharge.

Bonus Track: If you want some crazy trails, head to Bruce Pit

🚵 Elevation Gain: 101 meters, this is flatter than most routes 👍
