Bakkers Trailblazers Summer Bike Camp

A week-long mountain bike day camp in Kanata for kids aged 5 to 13, run by PMBIA-certified coach Osmond Bakker and a trained instructor team. Campers are sorted into ability groups — Dirt Devils, Salamander, Rock Hopper, Shredders, Mud Guppy — and progress through fundamentals like braking, cornering, descending, and balance, with skills practised on the local trail networks each afternoon.

Drop-off runs 8:00–8:45 AM and pick-up 3:30–4:00 PM at the Beaverbrook Community Centre west parking lot (look for the Bakkers Trailblazers trailer). Sign-in and sign-out are mandatory and done in person with a counsellor. On-site bike storage is available for the week.

Six camp weeks run from early July through late August, $399 per week. If a week is full, contact Bakkers Trailblazers to be added to the waiting list. If your child is under 5 but proficient at biking, let them know and they'll assess eligibility.
